He calls our family members by name and tells us what he wants – “breakfast, supper, apple, coffee!”  He knows we pray before meals, so he’ll say, “Papa, pray!”  If Nana is a little slow preparing breakfast, he will call to her, “Nana, breakfast!”  When Papa leaves he says, “Where’re you going?”  And when he returns he says, “Where’d you go?”  If he is corrected for misbehaving, he says “I’m sorry!”  When he sneezes he says, “Bless you!”  And on and on goes his vocabulary which is very often accompanied by a sense of reasoning ability and understanding.  He makes the sound of the phone ringing and then says, “Hello”.
