My wife and I live in Philadelphia, PA. Neither of us ever owned or grew up
with dogs. However, I knew that I wanted to get an American Bulldog. I did a
good bit of research on the breed and talked to various breeders throughout
the country. The one thing that became clear was that if I were to get an
AB, I had to get it from a reliable and trustworthy breeder. I eventually
came upon Laura's kennel website and saw that these AB's came from the
Joshua line. A friend of mine who knows a good bit about these dogs said
that these were the best kind of bulldogs I could get. They were true
working Old Southern AB's with excellent temperaments (this was one of the
most important factors for us since we live in a very urban environment and
wanted a family dog.) After talking on the phone and emailing Lynn many
times, I knew this was the breeder and line of AB's that I wanted. Lynn was
honest, knowledgeable, and patient with me throughout the whole process.
I picked up Molly at the airport at 8 weeks old. She was everything that we
could have wanted. It has been amazing watching her grow up over these past
7 months. We take her everywhere with us. She is so smart and will flop on
her back for pretty much anyone for belly rubs, whether it is a stranger
walking down the street or friends and family visiting at our house. Her
temperament is excellent. She loves to go on runs with me as well as hike in
the park and run loose on the beach when we go to the shore. This bulldog
really does have it all, but most importantly, she is an excellent family
dog. And Lynn has walked us through any and all questions or concerns we
have had since the day we got Molly. Anytime I email her I get a sincere,
knowledgeable answer right back. Lynn truly cares for these dogs and that is
apparent by her commitment to the owners of these bulldogs out of Laura
kennels. Thanks again Lynn--we could not be any happier with our Molly.
